2017 Executive Team Applications Opening July 31st!

Applications for the 2017-2018 year will be open from July 31st – August 18th and on-campus interviews will take place from August 21st to August 25th during business hours.

The following positions are available:

  • Vice President of Finance
    • Will manage the group’s check book and bank account
    • Responsible for keeping a record of the club’s financial status
    • In charge of reimbursements for executive team members
    • Will also be responsible for exploring any potential sponsorship and funding opportunities for the UT Pre-Med Society
    • Must have previous finance experience
  • Design Manager
    • Responsible for designing and creating posters, flyers, banners, business cards and visuals or graphics for digital media
    • Also responsible for monitoring and regulating the graphics on the website
    • Will edit club photography following events
  • First Year Arts and Science Representative
  • First Year Kinesiology Representative
  • Second Year Arts and Science Representative
  • Third Year Kinesiology Representative
  • Fourth Year/Graduate Arts and Science Representative

All representatives are responsible for:

    1. Responsible for promotion in their respective years (i.e. making class announcements, flyering around campus and posts on Portal) and any additional Pre-Medical Society social media accounts.
    2. Act as a Student-Executive liason regarding ideas and comments for the club.
    3. Must be in the year specified by the position.
    4. Must assist the Vice President in executing the marketing plan
      1. Will post digital media content under short notice and distribute marketing material (i.e. flyers or posters)

You will be asked to fill out a Google form of questions. Once reviewed you will be contacted for an interview.

Interviews will be held on August 25th from around 9:00am-5pm. If accepted for an interview, you will be emailed a time slot on this day. Please ensure that you are available. If not, please contact us and let us know ahead of time so we can make an arrangement.

Hi All,

On August 14th, we will open our executive team applications for upper years (2nd-4th year) for the following positions:

  • Event Manager
  • Vice President of Finance
  • Marketing Manager (2)
  • Design Manager
  • Director of Administration
  • Second Year Arts and Science Representative
  • Second Year Kinesiology Representative
  • Third Year Arts and Science Representative
  • Third Year Kinesiology Representative
  • Fourth Year/Graduate Arts and Science Representative

Applications will consist of filling out a Google form and sending your resume/CV with a cover letter to uoft.premed@gmail.com. Applications that do not have BOTH of these requirements fulfilled will be discarded.

Interviews will September 6th – 12th.

From September 4th – 14th, we will hold interviews for the first year applications, for the unfilled positions above as well as:

  • First Year Arts and Science Representative
  • First Year Kinesiology Representative

Interviews for first year applicants will run September 19th – 23rd.

Newly Reduced Membership Price!

For the 2016-2017 year, the membership price has now been reduced to $5 for the entire year! Our membership is a one time fee that gets you free entry to all Pre-Med events.

    • Responsible for gathering supplies for events and ensuring the smooth operation of such events
    • Assist Vice President of Events with plan outlines, budgets, and event schedules
  • Vice President of Finance
    • Will manage the group’s check book and bank account
    • Responsible for keeping a record of the club’s financial status
    • In charge of reimbursements for executive team members
    • Will also be responsible for exploring any potential sponsorship and funding opportunities for the UofT Pre-Med Society
    • Must have previous finance experience
  • Marketing Manager (2)
    • Must assist the Vice President in executing the marketing plan
    • Will post digital media content under short notice and distribute marketing material (i.e. flyers or posters)
    • Responsible for all advertising completed through social and digital media
      • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pulse and UTPMS website as well as any additional social media outlets deemed appropriate
  • Design Manager
    • Responsible for designing and creating posters, flyers, banners, business cards and visuals or graphics for digital media
    • Also responsible for monitoring and regulating the graphics on the website
    • Will edit club photography following events
  • Director of Administration
    • Responsible for planning group meetings
    • Responsible for organizing and recording meeting minutes
    • Keeping track of member attendance and volunteer hours
    • Sending monthly newsletters to general members
  • First Year Arts and Science Representative
  • First Year Kinesiology Representative
  • Second Year Arts and Science Representative
  • Second Year Kinesiology Representative
